Job summary

Snohomish School District is seeking a Paraeducator B to support social skills and communication for students with varied needs. The role runs through January 22, 2027, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., in a district that emphasizes collaboration and student-centered instruction.

Qualified candidates may have a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional education credits or SBPE paraeducator assessments. Competitive benefits are available for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one of the following requirements.
• Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
• 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher; or
• Pass one of the SBPE approved assessments (ParaPro, Para Pathways, Pearson, Master Teacher).
• Upon hire, complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with individualized and small group instruction for students with physical or behavioral needs.
• Provide direct support to students to access education through academic support and behavior management.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement accommodations and strategies for student success.
• Support a flexible assignment approach based on current needs and teacher discretion.
