Job summary

Snohomish School District invites applications for a Paraeducator B in Developmental Preschool (temporary) for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports students with IEP goals, providing academic help, behavior management, and fostering independence under supervision of a Building Administrator and Special Education Teacher.

Work is scheduled Monday–Thursday, 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with holidays and paid days off as outlined in the salary schedule.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one of the following: associate degree or higher; 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher; or approved paraeducator assessments.
• Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.
• Ability to meet the qualifications listed on the job description.

Responsibilities

• Assist with individualized and small group instruction for preschool students.
• Provide direct support to students, including academic support and behavior management.
• Collaborate with staff to implement accommodations and strategies for student success.
• Adapt to current needs and reassign support as necessary.

Professional Educator Standards Board paraeducator assessments (ParaPro, Para Pathways, Pearson, Master Teacher)
