The Johnson Museum of Art at Cornell University seeks a part-time, Temporary Museum Security Associate to protect the museum's collections, visitors, staff and facilities through routine patrols and incident reporting.

This on-site, 3-month position offers pay of $24.00–$24.30 per hour, up to 19 hours a week, and may extend. Visa sponsorship is not available; schedule can include evenings, holidays, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, reliable, team-minded.
• Strong customer service and relational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to cultivate inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community.

Responsabilités

• Patrol galleries and facilities and report incidents.
• Maintain security systems and respond to issues.
• Provide backup visitor services and reception support.
• Assist with classroom and event logistics.
• Work a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and on-call shifts.
