Job summary

Providence Housing Authority is hiring a Maintenance Worker to perform unskilled and diversified duties related to the upkeep of buildings, grounds and equipment in Providence, Rhode Island. The role emphasizes basic repairs, cleaning, landscaping, washing, and assisting other staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sweeping and washing floors
• Cutting and weed whacking grass
• Picking up trash and litter from the grounds
• Removal of snow and ice from buildings/grounds
• Minor maintenance repairs such as replacing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, etc
• Washing windows
• Cleaning units for paint and lease
• Cleaning public bath rooms, kitchen and laundry room
