Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking a Training Specialist for temporary leave coverage to research, design, facilitate and evaluate employee learning programs that support our organizational goals.

The role delivers in-house training services across the hospital, migrating LMS content, improving curricula, and providing administrative LMS support while collaborating with diverse teams to drive educational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years' experience in supervisory/management education, or Associate's degree with 5 years' experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Foundational ability to structure educational content; willing to be trained on Articulate or Camtasia
• Service-oriented and a strong team player with clear, empathetic communication

Responsibilities

• Migrate LMS courses from HealthStream to Oracle Fusion Cloud Learning and Redwood Experience.
• Review transferred courses to optimize instructional design and learning speed.
• Research and design comprehensive professional development courses aligned with hospital goals.
• Provide administrative and technical LMS support including data entry, user registration, and scheduling.
• Analyze complex data sets to form evidence-based recommendations for objectives and curriculum.
• Evaluate and update training modules to maintain high educational standards.
