Theory, founded in New York, seeks a Temporary HR Generalist for a six-month holiday-season assignment at the New York City office. You will support HR policy guidance, onboarding, and HR administration for retail and corporate teams.

Responsibilities include employee relations, investigations, staffing support, leaves, records management, and onboarding coordination; occasional travel to Theory locations nationwide.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 2+ years of multi-unit HR experience in a complex market (ie. multi-state market, high volume employee relations matters)
• High volume, multi-location, retail environment experience required
• Expertise in the opening of new markets as it relates to staffing, government regulations and HR-related store operations
• General knowledge of federal and state employment laws and practices
• Evidence of the practice of high level of confidentiality
• Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills
• Ability to travel to our various Theory locations across the country when the business dictates
• Excellent presentation skills; experience of delivering presentations to key stakeholders

Responsabilidades

• Partner with business leaders and the HR team to manage employee relations matters, conduct investigations, provide coaching and guidance, and support performance management and corrective action processes.
• Manage HR administrative processes, including offer letters, reference checks, and disciplinary documentation.
• Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding leaves of absence, paid time off, workers’ compensation, HR policies, etc.
• Manage and maintain employee records and personnel documentation in compliance with company policies and legal local, state, and federal requirements.
• Support workforce planning initiatives, including staffing, succession planning, and organizational changes across retail and corporate teams.
• Analyze employee trends and HR metrics to identify opportunities and provide recommendations that support business objectives.
• Facilitate and coordinate employee engagement initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
• Support in planning and delivering HR onboarding.
• Conduct exit interviews; ensure that data is accurately recorded and summarized.
• Provide on-site HR support to retail locations as business needs require.
• Support the Talent Acquisition Manager throughout recruitment lifecycle, including candidate scheduling, screening, and reference checks.
