Burnett Specialists Staffing | Recruiting is seeking an experienced HR Generalist for an immediate temporary assignment in Downtown Houston. The role entails benefits administration, HR operations, employee relations, and recruitment support.

The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, proactive, and able to contribute quickly with minimal training in a fast-paced professional services environment. This in-office position runs Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with a temporary duration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of Human Resources experience.
• Experience in law firms, legal environments, or professional services preferred.
• Proficient with Excel and HRIS systems (UKG a plus).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Benefits administration support and peak-period backup.
• Enrollment, eligibility tracking, and leave administration.
• Respond to routine benefits inquiries and maintain data accuracy.
• Audit benefits data and coordinate vendor corrections.
• Support HR operations including workforce forecasting and reporting.
• Maintain HR records and documentation.
• Coordinate recruitment activities and interview scheduling.
• Support onboarding and recruitment administration.
• Handle employee relations matters with HR leadership collaboration.
