Job summary

City of Houston, TX seeks a Senior Human Resources Generalist to provide operational and transactional HR support within the Community Services Cluster in Houston. You will process HR actions in SuccessFactors EC and maintain Organizational Management data, ensuring policy compliance.

The role is onsite, with responsibilities to coordinate with Talent Acquisition, Shared Services, and other HR areas, and to prepare reports that track deadlines and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Social Science, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
• 3 years of professional experience in human resources.
• Experience with HR policies and compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and transactional HR support to assigned departments, ensuring HR requests and personnel actions are processed accurately and timely.
• Prepare, review, and process personnel actions in HR One SuccessFactors – Employee Central (EC).
• Create and maintain Organizational Management (OM) activities and ensure accurate reporting relationships.
• Review personnel actions and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain HR tracking logs, reports, and effective dates to support timely follow-up.
• Coordinate with Client Relations Manager, Talent Acquisition, Shared Services, and other HR areas to move requests to completion.
• Serve as a resource by providing status updates and responding to routine HR questions.
