Job summary

ServiceNet is hiring a Shelter Counselor in Pittsfield, MA to help families feel safe and supported while pursuing permanent housing. The position supports the warming center reopening on Nov 15 and runs through Apr 30 with a 7 days/week, night shift from 10:00pm to 8:00am.

Location: Pittsfield, MA

Pay: $18.00/hour

Position Summary

Be part of a team that creates a warm, welcoming place for parents and children in need. As a Shelter Counselor, you\'ll play a key role in helping families feel safe and supported as they work towards finding permanent housing.

We are hiring for our Warming Center that will be reopening on November 15th, this counselor position will run from 11/15 - 4/30. The Warning Center will be open 7 days a week from 10:00pm - 8:00am.

Position Responsibilities

• Help create a cozy, home-like environment where everyone feels cared for.
• Support families by assisting with everyday tasks, teaching life skills, and offering guidance.
• Write simple notes to track the progress of each family.
• Attend team meetings to share ideas and learn from others.
• Make sure the shelter\'s rules are followed to keep everyone safe and on track.
