Job summary

Heritage Bank is seeking a temporary deposit operations specialist for a July to December 2026 assignment. The role is fully on-site in Everett, WA, with typical hours Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; flexibility for training or absences. Base salary range is $20.00–$25.00 per hour. 401(k) with match, sick time, and EAP are available.

Responsibilities include handling customer inquiries, maintaining confidentiality, and performing basic ledger-related tasks in a compliant, efficient manner.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent clerical accounting experience in financial services.
• Retail banking or deposit operations knowledge preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal/external inquiries via email or phone promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer financial data.
• Perform basic account maintenance per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Learn, reconcile, and verify general ledger entries.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal banking laws and bank policies.
• Follow policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to responsibilities.
• Assist with cross-training across department responsibilities.
