Job summary

Puget Sound Energy in Washington state is hiring a Temporary Customer Service Representative I to assist customers with energy assistance programs and application processing. The role involves reviewing paper and electronic applications, ensuring data accuracy, and routing inquiries efficiently.

It’s a safety sensitive position with pre-employment drug screening and a focus on detail-oriented work that helps customers in our communities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; 6–10 credits in business/related fields.
Two years customer service experience, preferably in a call center.
Ability to type at least 35 wpm with strong verbal and written skills.
Adaptable, comfortable with technology, able to learn new systems.
Experience with SAP or MiUtility is a plus.

Responsibilities

Answer inquiries from customers and employees about service requests and policies.
Relieve other customer service personnel or handle a specialized area.
Process mail returns, changes, or corrections and update customer data.
Initiate service orders or follow-up requests and arrange credit when needed.
Operate computers, phone systems, calculators and related equipment.
Perform similar and incidental duties as required.
