Grandview School District is seeking an Arthur H. Smith Counseling Assistant to support the Principal and Counselor at A.H. Smith Elementary.

This temporary role runs through 10/12/2026 with 180 work days annually and offers several benefits. The position involves administrative tasks, data gathering, collaboration on meetings and professional development, and assisting with student assessments and progress monitoring in small groups.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Paraprofessional requirements may apply per district guidelines.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Principal and Counselor by assisting with administrative functions.
• Attends meetings, trainings, and development to keep skills up to date.
• Gathers, organizes, and obtains data to support the school counselor.
• Assists with student assessments and standardized testing to ensure an efficient testing experience.
• Helps monitor students' academic and social-emotional progress in small groups.
