Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking a Teller to provide prompt and accurate customer service, operate the teller drawer, and process transactions. You will identify customer needs, cross-sell opportunities, and refer clients within the branch while supporting teammates and handling complex transactions.

The role requires teller training, strong communication, and solid PC skills. A high school diploma is required, with a finance-related degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of teller training program and passing score on post-test.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and ability to meet or exceed sales and service objectives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate PC proficiency and familiarity with Google Docs and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Operate teller drawer and perform advanced, specialized teller transactions, including resolving cash discrepancies.
• Provide prompt, professional customer service to customers and prospective customers.
• Identify customer needs, cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, and refer within the branch.
• Balance cash, verify totals, and research issues as needed.
• May provide assistance and training to colleagues and serve as a mentor.
