Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Teller to provide prompt customer service, handle transactions, and balance cash drawers accurately. The role involves researching cash discrepancies, understanding customer needs, and supporting sales goals while delivering a high standard of integrity and service.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ year of customer service experience, cash handling familiarity, and a high school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform accurate transactions.
• Successful completion of Teller training program and passing score on training post-test.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and ability to meet or exceed sales and service objectives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, professional customer service to customers and prospective customers.
• Operate the teller drawer and perform advanced, specialized teller functions including researching cash discrepancies, and handling complex customer transactions.
• Work to understand the root causes of complex customer service issues and identify and implement resolutions.
• Accountable for achievement of defined sales and service goals.
• Maintain a working knowledge of banking products and promotions.
