Job summary

Ameris Bank is hiring a Teller to deliver prompt, professional customer service, process transactions accurately, and support branch goals. You will handle complex transactions, balance cash daily, and identify customer needs to offer appropriate products and referrals.

The position requires 1+ years in customer service, a high school diploma or GED, and strong communication skills. Banking knowledge and a willingness to train are valued.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Ability to perform accurate transactions and balance daily totals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with computers and standard software.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent education and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, professional customer service to customers and prospective customers.
• Operate teller drawer and perform advanced teller functions including researching cash discrepancies.
• Identify customer needs and cross-sell/referrals within the branch.
• Ensure accuracy of transactions and balance daily cash totals.
• Support other branches as needed and mentor colleagues.
