Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Follow all established bank policies and procedures.
  • Keep cash drawer within established limits by selling and buying cash as needed.
  • Process deposits and withdrawals, cash checks, issue Cashier's Checks, accept a variety of payments, process coin orders accurately, perform proof duties, balance cash vaults, scan and file appropriate documents.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy by balancing cash drawer daily. Keep cash overages/shortages within the acceptable standards.
  • Investigate and resolve Teller errors. Communicate to those affected.
  • Provide quality customer service in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
  • Comply with regulations by completing Currency Transaction reports (CTR's).
  • Build customer relationships, making product and service referrals when appropriate.
  • Handle customer account inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Work as part of a team to address customer needs and accomplish branch goals.
  • Flexibility with scheduling and providing coverage to other branch locations as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Teller role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while accurately processing transactions and supporting branch operations. This position is expected to warmly welcome customers, handle deposits, withdrawals, and other banking transactions with precision, and promptly resolve any teller-related issues. By building strong customer relationships and identifying financial needs, this position will recommend appropriate products and services to enhance customer experience. A Teller will work collaboratively with branch team members to meet customer needs and achieve branch goals, while providing professional, friendly, and timely service across in-person, phone, and virtual interactions.
