Job summary

Qualifications

• One year as a Transportation Construction Inspector or equivalent federal title.
• Two years of construction inspection experience with an associate’s degree in civil/engineering tech or related field.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Inspect field and materials to verify compliance with construction specs and quality standards.
• Review documentation and project records to ensure procedures are followed.
• Use department platforms and mobile apps to manage project data, approvals and reports.
• Verify materials for certification, placement and testing requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, municipalities and utilities to resolve issues and maintain progress.
• Coach, mentor and evaluate inspectors to support skill development and performance.
