Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking Inspector Supervisors to staff PennDOT assignments and other client projects. The role is field-based, focusing on compliance with plans, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Applicants should have 4+ years of construction inspection experience, a high school diploma, and client-referenced certifications. Supervisory experience and an Owner’s Agent approach are preferred. Strong computer skills and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience).
• 4+ years of Construction Inspection Experience.
• Client requested certifications.
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Supervisory experience in construction management/inspection.
• Ability to act as Owner’s Agent/Responsible in Charge.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, layouts, specs to ensure compliance with requirements and safety regulations.
• Perform routine tests on concrete, soils and other materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures and pavement.
• Coordinate and supervise inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance.
• Assign, schedule and manage subordinate inspection staff across all project phases.
• Draft project correspondence, facilitate meetings, and resolve field issues.
