Job summary

Synapse Speech-Language Pathology Group, PLLC is seeking a Teletherapy School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to work with students across multiple schools. The role requires availability during central school hours and collaboration with families and school staff to deliver effective therapy.

The candidate will evaluate and treat pediatric speech-language disorders, document progress, and contribute to IEP development while working remotely in a Central Time zone service area.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• CCC is preferred, CFs considered.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain TN SLP license.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain TN Educator license.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations, develop and implement therapy goals.
• Diagnose speech and language pathologies.
• Collaborate with professionals, team members and families to provide well-rounded care.
• Educate students and teachers on treatment techniques, including assistive devices.
• Provide timely written documentation of client services and session notes.

Teletherapy School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist

This teletherapy role requires the SLP to be available M-F for eight (8) consecutive hours during the school day, based on the assigned schools. Schools are open 7:15-2:15, 8:15-3:15, or 9:15-4:15, Central Time.

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered
• Current TN SLP License (or willing to obtain)
• Current TN Educator License (or willing to obtain)
• Have a valid U.S. driver’s license
• Pass background check clearance
• Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Have the ability to walk, bend, sit, and stand during the work shift
• Provide own transportation
• Experience with pediatric populations

Responsibilities:

• Provide evaluations, develop and implement therapy goals
• Diagnose speech and language pathologies
• Act as a liaison and collaborate with other professionals/team members and families to provide well-rounded care
• Educate students and teachers in proper treatment techniques, including the use of assistive devices
• Provide written documentation of client services, including but not limited to, writing session notes and uploading them to a database timely
• Develop or collaborate on the development of the IEP (Individual Education Plan)
