Job summary

Synapse Speech-Language Pathology Group, PLLC in Memphis, TN, seeks a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. In-person positions only, with no teletherapy at this time, you will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and collaborate with students, families, and school staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in SLP, TN SLP and Educator licenses (or willing to obtain), CCC preferred though CFs considered, and a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but CFs considered.
• Current TN SLP License (or willing to obtain).
• Current TN Educator License (or willing to obtain).
• Have a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Pass background check clearance.
• Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to walk, bend, sit, and stand during the work shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations and develop and implement therapy goals.
• Diagnose speech and language pathologies.
• Act as a liaison and collaborate with other professionals/team members and families to provide well-rounded care.
• Educate students and teachers in proper treatment techniques, including the use of assistive devices.
• Provide written documentation of client services, including but not limited to, writing session notes and uploading them to a database timely.
• Develop or collaborate on the development of the IEP (Individual Education Plan).
