Job summary

Synapse Speech-Language Pathology Group, PLLC is seeking energetic school-based SLPs for the 2026-2027 school year in Shelby County, TN. Positions are in-person only, with opportunities across full-time, part-time, and contract roles.

Qualified candidates hold a Master's in SLP or related field, Tennessee SLP and Educator licenses (or willingness to obtain), and experience with pediatric populations. CFs with CCC are considered; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • CCC preferred, CFs considered.
  • TN SLP license required (or willing to obtain).
  • TN Educator license required (or willing to obtain).
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluations and develop/implement therapy goals.
  • Diagnose speech and language pathologies.
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to provide well-rounded care.
  • Educate students and teachers on treatment techniques, including assistive devices.
  • Provide written documentation and timely upload to database.

Job description

School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist

In-Person positions available only, no teletherapy at this time.

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered
  • Current TN SLP License (or willing to obtain)
  • Current TN Educator License (or willing to obtain)
  • Have a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Pass background check clearance
  • Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Have the ability to walk, bend, sit, and stand during the work shift
  • Provide own transportation
  • Experience with pediatric populations
Responsibilities:
  • Provide evaluations, develop and implement therapy goals
  • Diagnose speech and language pathologies
  • Act as a liaison and collaborate with other professionals/team members and families to provide well-rounded care
  • Educate students and teachers in proper treatment techniques, including the use of assistive devices
  • Provide written documentation of client services, including but not limited to, writing session notes and uploading them to a database timely
  • Develop or collaborate on the development of the IEP (Individual Education Plan)
