Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Tele Med Surg unit. Full-time Days shift (7a-7p) with rotating holidays, delivering safe patient care using the nursing process and coordinating with physicians.

Requires active Illinois RN license, BLS, ACLS, and basic arrhythmia interpretation; BSN preferred. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Active state RN license required.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or equivalent certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in clinical condition and monitor patient status.
