Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago seeks a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care / Stepdown Unit. You will provide direct patient care on a Telemetry Unit, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, and collaborate with physicians.

Requirements include current RN license, BLS and ACLS, with preferred RN-BC or BSN. Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus and competitive benefits; schedule is days, full-time.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry Unit.
• Direct patient/family teaching and supervise other nurses.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
