Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Telemetry Unit to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process. You will provide direct patient care and guide patient/family teaching while maintaining standards of care.

Collaboration with physicians on changes in condition, ECG monitoring, and test results is essential. The role requires BLS/ACLS certifications, state RN licensure, and preferably BSN with Acute Care experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification; preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
