Northwestern Medicine's Kishwaukee Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Telemetry in-house registry nights. The role offers a casual/per diem schedule with 3rd shift options and a partial FTE.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois.
• CPR – Basic Life Support within thirty (30) days of employment.
• Current certification appropriate to work area.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessment according to unit guidelines.
• Updates nursing plan of care with input from patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Administers medications and treatments safely within standards of care.
• Provides patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Communicates patient status changes to physicians and care teams.
• Participates in discharge planning from admission.
• Documents care, assessments and patient responses accurately.
• Coordinates care with other hospital departments and teams.

Education
