Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital – Kankakee is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Night Shift in Telemetry. This 12-week assignment offers a full-time (.9) schedule and a competitive hourly rate.

You will deliver direct patient care, follow the nursing process, supervise and educate staff as needed, and ensure EMTALA compliance and patient privacy. Illinois RN license and certifications are required or in progress as listed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate required on hire and maintained.
• ALS certificate required on hire and maintained.
• PALS and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Coordinate and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nurses.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician with test results and symptoms.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality and comply with EMTALA regulations.
