Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse - Telemetry for full-time night shifts at Kishwaukee unit in DeKalb, IL. You will provide high-quality patient care using evidence-based nursing and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Requires BSN, active Illinois RN license, and BLS. You’ll administer meds, develop care plans, and assist with discharge planning while upholding standards of care and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and active Illinois RN license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in telemetry nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using age-appropriate standards and communicate findings.
• Develop and update nursing care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and provide patient education.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• Document patient responses and nursing actions accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers.
