Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for Telemetry at Kishwaukee inpatient unit. The role supports nursing care using evidence-based practice, coordinates with interdisciplinary teams, and focuses on safe patient outcomes.

The RN will assess, educate, and discharge planning while maintaining compliance with standards of care and hospital policies. Night shift and full-time status apply.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Associate Degree in Nursing acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform age-appropriate assessments and plan of care.
• Coordinate with physicians and care team.
• Educate patient and family, including discharge planning.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document responses.
• Participate in discharge planning from admission.
• Ensure standards of care and OSHA guidelines are followed.
