Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in Telemetry and the Emergency Department. The role includes patient/family teaching, supervising nursing staff, and timely communication with physicians about patient changes.

Required are an active RN license and BLS; ALS and PALS are also needed. BSN is preferred; certification in CEN and trauma certifications are a plus. This is a part-time evening shift with emphasis on ED care.

Competenze

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 60 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Mansioni

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in Telemetry and Emergency Department.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician including diagnostic results and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Maintain EMTALA compliance and report abuse per policy.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
