Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Completion of a North Carolina State-approved Nurse Aide I course.
• Registered as a Nurse Aide I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Service Regulation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• PEARS may be required within one year in select areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical staff with patient preparation, examinations, and procedures.
• Participate in implementing the nursing process by providing direct care under supervision.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and ensure proper equipment setup.
• Communicate patient information accurately within the healthcare team.
• Collect and process specimens for diagnostic testing as directed.
