Job summary

Smart Hires Corporation is seeking a Monitor Tech to oversee telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation in a hospital setting. You will alert the RN to rhythm changes promptly and ensure proper preparation of telemetry units, leads, and electrodes for application.

Responsibilities include documenting rhythm strips, patient entries/exits, and maintaining strict confidentiality. A high school diploma or GED and current BLS are required; hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current BLS required; proof of license/certifications due at hire.
• High school diploma or GED due at time of hire.
• One-year hospital experience or secretarial/medical assisting background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry patients continuously and interpret rhythms.
• Notify RN immediately of lethal or potentially lethal dysrhythmias.
• Enter or discharge patients to telemetry systems.
• Prepare telemetry unit, leads, and electrodes for application.
• Collect rhythm strips each shift and when rhythm changes occur.
• Identify rhythm types and numbers, and document findings.
• Orient new employees to telemetry monitor systems.
