Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Telemetry Lead to supervise the Monitor Room team, ensuring safe, efficient patient monitoring across 3 twelve-hour shifts at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham.

You will coordinate shift operations, assign tasks, mentor staff, monitor compliance, and lead orientation and training to uphold high standards of care in a busy telemetry department. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned staff in performing activities or tasks of the telemetry department.
• Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
• Serve as a technical or functional resource and perform similar duties with staff.
• Assign, monitor and review progress of work; monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures.
• Oversee and evaluate orientation and training of assigned associates; may provide input in performance reviews.
