Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician to perform continuous observation of patient monitors, including critical care and remote monitoring. Responsibilities include EKGs, alarm management, and EMR documentation.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with BLS certification due within 90 days. We provide a fast-paced, high-reliability environment with a 7p–7a shift, 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period) and a focus on patient safety, accuracy in rhythm

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Knowledge of ECG monitoring and telemetry workflows is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and communicate changes in cardiac rhythm and status.
• Interpret and document rhythm, heart rate, and measurements in the EMR.
• Respond to significant rhythms or alarms with timely action.
• Adjust alarm settings per physician orders and telemetry policies.
• Identify artifacts and notify staff with corrective actions.
• Attach leads and prepare patient for test procedures.
• Document EKG readings and monitor patients during procedures.
• Enter and scan results into EMR and EKG software.
• Maintain clean work area and manage equipment and supplies.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned, including data entry.
