Job summary

United Hospital Center is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician to perform continuous cardiac monitoring, interpret rhythm changes, and document patient rhythms in EPIC. You will collaborate with nursing and medical staff to respond to life-threatening events and maintain chart accuracy.

The role requires a high school diploma, Basic Life Support or Heartsaver certification within 30 days, and Basic Dysrhythmia training. Night shifts and a standard clinical environment are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in Heartsaver OR Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• Successful completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course.
• Graduate of Technical Education Program or Medical Assistant Program.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac monitoring for telemetry and hard-wire monitored patients, identifying changes and reporting rhythm disturbances.
• Analyses and documents ECG rhythm with changes per guidelines and protocols.
• Uses Wave Strip Export to upload rhythms/events to EPIC charts.
• Monitors pulse oximetry for assigned patients and supports Admissions/Discharges/Transfers with Epic dashboards.
