Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is seeking a Weekend Telemetry Monitor Technician for 0.9 FTE to perform continuous observation of 64–72 monitors across critical care and telemetry units. Duties include identifying rhythm changes, interpreting EKGs, and coordinating with nursing staff.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, with BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Training provided; strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a high-pressure setting are essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and communicates changes in cardiac rhythm and documents in EMR.
• Interprets rhythms and responds to significant disturbances with alarm assessment.
• Sets and revises alarm parameters per physician orders and policies.
• Maintains clean, organized work area and ensures equipment readiness.
• Performs EKG readings and inputs results into EMR.
