Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team at St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT. The role includes basic patient care, telemetry support, and potential health unit coordination duties under licensed supervision.

The ideal candidate will hold a Montana CNA certification, BLS, and strong communication skills; computer literacy is required. Shifts are variable with weekend and holiday coverage, offering a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Montana
• BLS for healthcare providers
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care such as toileting, bathing, linen and clothing changes, fresh water and ice, ambulating, comfort measures, and responding to patient and family requests.
• Report and document patient care findings and data in a timely manner; alert changes in condition and secure assistance as needed.
• Monitor patients and assist with telemetry; collaborate with the health care team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Transport medications to the RN as required on the unit.
• Assist with health unit coordination tasks as delegated and maintain unit records.
• Implement the plan of care as directed and adhere to regulatory standards.
• Maintain a safe environment by following safety policies and responding to emergencies.
