Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team on the Medical Surgical/Ortho unit.

You will perform basic care tasks, monitor patients, and collaborate with RNs. The role includes potential Health Unit Coordinator duties and a full-time schedule of three 12-hour shifts.

Requires Montana CNA, BLS, and strong communication; offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Montana
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and comfort measures; respond to patient and family requests with excellent service.
• Report and record patient care findings promptly; alert RN of changes.
• May perform telemetry duties and function as a patient care attendant on unit.
• Transport medications to the RN as required on the unit.
• Collaborate with RN and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• May assume Health Unit Coordinator tasks: phones, orders, unit records, stocking supplies.
• Implement plan of care as delegated and perform duties within scope of practice.
