Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The role is based in the Telemetry department with a 7am-7:30pm schedule at Resurrection Medical Center, located in Chicago, IL 60631. Minimum qualifications include CNA certification, HS diploma, and preferred phlebotomy and EKG certs, with six months acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
