Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX is seeking a Medical Surgical Telemetry RN to support Med-Surg and Telemetry units on a per diem basis. The role focuses on cardiac monitoring, patient safety, and high-quality care during day shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on patient care and emotional support.
• Ensure safety and comfort of patients in Med/Surg and Telemetry.

W e ar e seeking a Medical Surgical Telemetry RN, internally referred to as our Med/Tele RN at working in both the Med-Surg and Telemetry departments . A dedicated nurse specializing in attending to patients within Med/Surg units, especially those needing cardiac monitoring. Our RN is instrumental in overseeing the safety, comfort, and overall well-being of individuals needing cardiac surveillance during their hospitalization. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed .

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• A ssess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans


• M onitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, which allows for remote monitoring of patients' heart rates and rhythms


• C ommunicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology


• A dminister medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions


• P rovide hands-on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional support

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License.


• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.


• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.


• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.


• Ventilator Management experience preferred.


• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
