Hargis Enterprises Allstate Agency in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Telemarketing / Sales Development Representative to support the growing insurance sales team. The role starts with in-office training and offers a path to remote work once training is completed.

The position is not entry-level and requires outbound telemarketing experience in insurance or a related field to generate leads, qualify prospects, and help licensed producers grow the business.

Qualifications

• Prior telemarketing experience in insurance or related industry.
• Experience generating qualified leads, setting appointments, or transferring prospects to sales professionals.

Are you an experienced telemarketing professional who is confident on the phone, enjoys connecting with potential customers, and knows how to turn conversations into qualified sales opportunities?

The Hargis Enterprises Allstate Agency, a well-established and award-winning Allstate Agency serving the Raleigh community since 1990, is looking for a motivated, results-driven Telemarketing / Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our growing insurance sales team.

WORK-FROM-HOME OPPORTUNITY: This position will begin with in-office training at our Raleigh, NC agency location. Once training is successfully completed and performance expectations are met, the opportunity to work remotely from home will be available.

This is NOT an entry-level telemarketing position. We are seeking someone with previous outbound telemarketing experience in the insurance industry or a closely related field who can confidently generate leads, qualify prospects, and help our licensed sales producers grow our business.

Work Location & Remote Opportunity

This position will initially require in-office training at our Raleigh, NC agency location to become familiar with our systems, processes, expectations, and team.

Once training is successfully completed, candidates who demonstrate the ability to work independently and consistently meet performance expectations will have the opportunity to work from home.

We are looking for someone who can be trusted to stay productive, maintain consistent outbound calling activity, and deliver results without constant supervision.

Requirements

Candidates MUST have prior telemarketing experience in insurance or a related industry to be considered.

• Proven experience making outbound telemarketing or prospecting calls
• Experience generating qualified leads, setting appointments, or transferring prospects to sales professionals
• Strong phone presence and excellent verbal communication skills
• Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls daily
• Ability to confidently handle objections and keep conversations moving forward
• Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working toward measurable performance goals
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills and experience documenting calls in CRM systems
• Ability to work in person at our Raleigh, NC agency office during the initial training period
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain consistent productivity in a remote work environment

Preferred Experience:

• Previous telemarketing experience with an insurance agency
• Property & Casualty insurance industry knowledge
• Experience prospecting for auto, home, or other personal insurance products
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills

A Property & Casualty insurance license is not required for this lead generation position.
