Job summary

Native American Mental Health Services Corporation is seeking a Telehealth Assistant to support the Telehealth Operations team from the Redding area. The role involves handling overflow tasks, assisting with patient communication, and ensuring accurate documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).

Day shifts during full-time/part-time postings support efficient patient access. Responsibilities include collecting co-pays, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and coordinating with clinicians

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; HR coursework or certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in an outpatient, community mental health, or similar clinical setting preferred.
• Proficiency with video conferencing platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Process patient co-pays and document all transactions in the EHR.
• Monitor voicemails and assist patients with scheduling and inquiries.
• Sort mail, scan and upload documents, and keep patient records well organized.
• Support scheduling overflow and patient follow-ups during busy periods.
• Document actions in the EHR and maintain HIPAA compliance.
