Summary: ASRC Federal Cyber is seeking a Cable Technician II to join our winning team and growth-oriented culture in support of the DISA J6 C4E, located in Arlington, VA (National Capital Region).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cable team members; provide guidance in accordance with BICSI rules, regulations, and standards.
  • Utilize and calibrate network cabling test equipment, overseeing testing procedures.
  • Design, implement, and manage complex telecommunications and network cabling infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, and documentation.
  • Supervise cable dressing, termination, and testing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversee the safe and efficient use of power tools and ladders, conducting regular safety inspections and providing training as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cabling infrastructure.
  • Proactively identify and address potential areas of improvement in voice and data communications systems.
  • Manage the abandoned cable removal and enforce strict adherence to cable management standards.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including clients, contractors, and management, provide updates, and resolve issues.
  • Deliver exceptional customer support in high-pressure environments, demonstrating professionalism and expertise in all interactions.
  • Conduct thorough problem analysis and implement effective solutions, minimizing disruptions to operations.
  • Uphold high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Required Experience :

  • 3+ years of related telecommunications experience
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Cable Technician within the DOD environment

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience

Certification Requirements:

  • Related certifications for Fiber Optic Cable and CAT6 Cable Installation

Clearance:

  • Active Secret
