Job summary

Bowhead Family of Companies seeks a Telecommunications Mechanic II at Minot AFB. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year experience troubleshooting, repairing, and preventative maintenance for structured cabling systems.
• Fluent English communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain BTS equipment and systems in serviceable condition; perform inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain BTS work center records (logs, PMI, cable tests, inventory).
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections including switch power tests and fiber/splice work.
• Install, service, troubleshoot voice and non-voice systems (intercoms, PA systems, alarms).
• Provide courteous customer service and interact professionally with coworkers and clients.
• Work independently or as part of a team; manage priorities and tasks effectively.
• Follow OSHA rules and safety practices while performing duties.
• Answer the helpdesk and interface with customers.
• Administer Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity voicemail, and Cisco ISE ACLs.
• Obtain required security clearance at Public Trust level; US citizenship is required.
