Job summary

PJM Interconnection is seeking a Telecommunications Analyst to ensure the effective management of PJM’s voice and data infrastructure. The role involves independent work on complex tasks, with a hybrid arrangement and on-site weekly requirements.

Responsibilities include documenting systems, tracking contracts, budgeting support, monitoring circuit utilization, and lifecycle tasks for assets. Strong communication and Cisco UC experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years experience with Systems Management, Telecommunications support, and telecom systems administration.
• Ability to produce high-quality work with attention to detail.
• Effective communication in a team environment.
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Proficient in verbal and written communications.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Cisco UC platforms (CUCM, Unity, Expressway) and IP phones.
• Experience with telecom systems such as voice recording and mass communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current documentation on all telecommunication systems.
• Track vendor contracts for SLA compliance and expiration.
• Assist in budget forecasts and auditing for the department.
• Monitor telecommunications circuit utilization and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Perform lifecycle tasks for assets and advise on telecom services (circuits, devices, teleworker).
• Implement and audit telecom security practices to meet corporate standards.
• Develop SLAs and evaluate vendor proposals for telecom needs.
• Provide technical advice to ITS customers and build strong client relationships.
