Job summary

Allstar Technologies in Fort Wayne, Indiana is hiring a System Engineer to join the installation team. You will design and install copper and fiber optic cabling, telephone systems, overhead paging, and WiFi deployments, while providing on-site and remote customer support.

You will document tasks, troubleshoot issues, and support sales with engineering input. Ongoing training and credentials are encouraged to maintain expertise in our product line.

Qualifications

• Previous experience or formal training in telecommunications or related fields.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of commonly-used telecommunications concepts, practices and procedures; valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Help design and install cabling, telephone systems, paging systems, and WiFi deployments
• Document all installation tasks and procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues
• Provide sales engineering support to Allstar’s sales team
• Acquire and maintain training, certifications and credentials necessary to install and support the products and services we provide
• Follow documented instructions and guidelines to perform job functions
• Provide excellent service to customers
