Job summary

UC Irvine seeks a Telecommunications Administrator to support, administer, and optimize the campus communications systems. You will manage telephone services, voicemail, ACD/call center, and 911 for faculty, staff, and students, while guiding Teams Phone migrations and modernization initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in telecom, strong troubleshooting, data analysis, and communication skills, with a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience/training.
• 3-5 years of telecommunications experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Phone including Direct Routing, Auto Attendants, Call Queues.

Responsibilities

• Provide telecom support and maintenance for UC Irvine’s enterprise communications services.
• Assist in migrating to Teams Phone and modernizing telecom infrastructure.
• Maintain technical documentation, inventory, and billing records.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex issues.
