Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Telecommunications Administrator to support, maintain, and enhance the campus enterprise communications services. This role includes managing the Mitel PBX, Teams Phone, and AWS Connect while delivering reliable voice and data services to faculty, staff and students.

The successful candidate will coordinate projects, document processes, and contribute to modernization efforts with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience administering Microsoft Teams Phone including Direct Routing, Auto Attendants, Call Queues.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone, voicemail, ACD/call center, automated attendant, and 911 services to UC Irvine faculty, staff, and students.
• Support, administer, maintain, and enhance UC Irvine's enterprise telecommunications services.
• Drive Teams Phone migrations and support modernization initiatives.
• Maintain documentation, inventory records, and accurate telecommunications billing.
