Job summary

University of California, Irvine is seeking a Telecommunications Administrator to support, administer, and modernize the campus’ enterprise communications. You will manage telephone, voicemail, ACD/call center, automated attendant, and 911 services across Mitel PBX, Teams Phone, and AWS Connect.

The role requires 3–5 years of telecom experience, strong troubleshooting, documentation and project coordination skills, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• 3–5 years of telecommunications experience.
• Strong knowledge of telecom and network concepts and OSI layers.
• Experience with Teams Phone and Direct Routing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support, administer, maintain, and enhance UC Irvine’s enterprise communications services.
• Provide telephone, voicemail, ACD/call center, automated attendant, and 911 services.
• Lead Teams Phone migrations and enterprise telecom modernization initiatives.
• Administer Mitel PBX, AWS Connect, and related telecom systems.
• Produce technical documentation, inventory records and billing data.
• Coordinate with vendors and provide project leadership and risk assessment.
