Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Telecommunications Designer to lead the design of telecommunications network cabling infrastructure from schematic design through construction administration for a range of building types. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and IT staff to develop telecom plans and specifications and prepare detailed reports.

This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom design, a valid RCDD certification, BIM (Revit) and AutoCAD proficiency, and

Qualifications

• RCDD certification required or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in design/evaluation of telecommunications cabling infrastructure.
• Experience with Building Construction documents and BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop telecommunications cabling infrastructure designs from concept through construction.
• Prepare telecom plans and specifications.
• Prepare telecom system reports and narratives.
• Coordinate telecom design with architecture, structure, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Meet with client IT staff to determine requirements and goals.
• Travel for job meetings, site visits and project interviews.
