Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a General Superintendent to lead large, complex projects and ensure work is developed, installed and managed per company requirements—emphasizing safety, quality and financial performance. You will oversee staffing, training, budgeting, and customer coordination on multi-site telecom/engineering projects.

This role demands substantial supervisory experience, strong planning skills, and a proven ability to drive profitability while meeting deadlines and QA standards

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Minimum three years’ experience as Lead Communications Technician or similar.
• Minimum five years in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office suite.
• Must meet Company driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage and evaluate project staff; mentor to meet goals.
• Act as senior liaison with customer representatives on-site.
• Plan, monitor and maintain project profitability and timely delivery.
• Ensure deadlines meet customer requirements and budgets.
• Manage workload distribution, staffing levels, and progress tracking.
• Oversee job cost postings, invoicing, cash collections and reporting.
• Complete project paperwork on time; ensure closeout packages meet standards.
• Perform quality checks and safety leadership; conduct on-site walks.
• Lead operations meetings and training sessions; manage tools/truck inventory.
